Taronga Western Plains Zoo
is 10 minutes from Bulwarra on the Obley Road. The zoo offers an experience unequalled with animals from all over the world. Many endangered wildlife are found at the zoo where they run breeding programmes to help conserve the species.
The zoo is fun and exciting for the young and young at heart. It caters for individuals, groups, primary & high schools with tours, education programmes and work experience.

Terramungamine
is an Aboriginal Rock Grooves' reserve located on the Macquarie river. Be amazed by the 150 rock grooves created by the Tubbagah People.
Two new types of reserves - an Aboriginal burial ground for ongoing use and a reserve for the preservation of Aboriginal cultural heritage - will be created following the agreement. Protection is also given for a 101-year old travelling stock reserve and public access to the riverside reserve area continues under the management of the Dubbo City Council.
